E-Muscle, LLC now has another brand to add to our growing vehicle roster. We made contact with this Buick Special owner in need of the “One Stop” shop that has made E-Muscle famous. This vehicle restoration had begun 7 years ago and like so many was not completed due the daily grind of so many of our lives. This client will need almost everything reworked due to the length of time the car sat.

Before we can put our name on this classic we will be totally disassembling the vehicle. This will include tear down of the once rebuilt engine and a thorough check for any problems or discrepancies in the former rebuild. Transmission will need attention as will the rear.

Frame and chassis were painted with a thin coat of black lacquer and will have to be re-blasted and refinished with hi-grade PPG urethane and epoxy products.

The interior was never tended to and will need custom cover work. All chrome and bright work will be re-worked as well. Paint will be addressed for chips and the body checked for straightness, then car will be repainted with better quality PPG products.

This customer is working with us closely on some vehicle improvements such as power disc brakes (w/hidden power booster), electric windows (with original door cranks), power antenna, Ron Francis wiring, distributor upgrade with MSD (also hidden) and dual exhaust.

In the end this Buick will be really “Special” with the subtle yet performance and comfort minded upgrades we have worked together on. Like so many of our projects, it becomes personal due to the customer as well as the team working together for the ultimate goal.

Since the project's onset, it has now been determined that, with project manager Brian Chaffee's extensive talents, this vehicle will now have a power antenna, stereo (hi-tech) upgrade, power windows, power disc upgrade, late model wiper conversion, quartz clock as well as air conditioning. All of these functions for the most part will be undetectable and will allow the vehicle to have a stock appearance.
